TROUT is an oil stick painting with mixed media on a retired woodcut by Morgan Fisher. Custom framed in 200 year old reclaimed barn wood.

Description

This original oil stick painting is created 'freehand'; the oil sticks were applied directly with hands/fingers. No brushes nor tools/instruments are used to apply the medium. This trout is a fish with a lot of character. painting is meant to be bold, vibrant, expressive, distorted- not precise nor realistic.

This is an overall very rustic piece. The old woodcut is thin but supported/braced in the back. The painting has a shine from an acrylic coating that helps boost the color of the oil sticks and also gives the surface of the piece more texture.

TROUT is custom-framed by Mark Langdon with reclaimed, Michigan barn wood -over 200 years old.
